I went on a bit of a sewing hiatus. I thought about sewing, but I just wasn’t motivated to physically engage in it. Luckily, I kicked that malaise this weekend.

\"circle<\/a><\/center>The pattern is from the latest Japanese sewing book I got, another skirt book<\/a>, but this one is not by Machiko Kayaki. I used a heavy black rayon, and the skirt is cut on the bias, so it drapes pretty nicely. The skirt in the book isn’t lined, but I decided to line it so I can wear it in the winter with tights (the lining is bright turquoise!). I spent Saturday afternoon embroidering those circles.
