I seem to have caught the cold that every other resident of Portland has had. Maybe I should find that comforting? Anyway, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.action-hero.net\/blog\/knitblog.html\">Action Hero Melissa<\/a> gave me this great baking pan called the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bakersedge.com\/\">Baker&#8217;s Edge<\/a>. You know how sometimes food baked in a rectangular baking dish is all crusty on the outer edges and soft and undercooked in the center? This pan is designed to bake things evenly! Check out the chocolate chip cookie dough:<br \/>\n<center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.supereggplant.com\/archives\/bakersedge dough.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"bakersedge dough.JPG\" src=\"http:\/\/www.supereggplant.com\/archives\/bakersedge dough-thumb.JPG\" width=\"290\" height=\"217\" border=\"3\" \/><\/a><\/center><br \/>\nHere&#8217;s the finished product, and yeah, I know, it looks almost exactly like the dough!<br \/>\n<center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.supereggplant.com\/archives\/bakersedge cookies.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"bakersedge cookies.JPG\" src=\"http:\/\/www.supereggplant.com\/archives\/bakersedge cookies-thumb.JPG\" width=\"280\" height=\"210\" border=\"3\" \/><\/a><\/center>I followed the recipe that came with the pan, but unfortunately I still ended up overbaking the cookies, and they were too hard and crunchy. I&#8217;m looking forward to baking some cinnamon rolls and lasagne in this pan (not at the same time, of course).<br \/>\nHope everyone is gearing up for a wonderful 2007!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hey folks!
