After many struggles, I finally completed the peppermint candy <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chicknits.com\/2x2x3x1.html\">2x2x3x1 ribby<\/a>, a fabulous FREE pattern by the incredibly talented <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chicknits.com\/rambles.shtml\">Bonne Marie<\/a>. I knit FOUR sleeves for this (and yes, I wish I had 2 extra arms, but I don&#8217;t), and after I finished the entire body, I considered ripping the whole thing apart and starting the body over. I was concerned that I had made it too short and too small (unlike the last sweater, bpt, which came out too big! Please send good knitting karma my way). I decided just to block it and move on with life, though, because a) it&#8217;s been 85 degrees here, and I just wanted to get the wool\/acrylic lump out of my lap, b) I was\/am lazy, and c) I want to take it with me to Portland, and I&#8217;m leaving Saturday. SO, I haphazardly blocked it, and I didn&#8217;t even measure. Granted, it was after 11pm, so I just wanted to get to bed.<br \/>\nIN SUM, I&#8217;m hoping it fits, and I&#8217;m taking it with me to Portland to find a zipper. If I just can&#8217;t stand the way it fits, it&#8217;s going to the frog pond and will be revisited when it cools down, which means around November.
