I only recently heard about this recipe. Basically, you take a whole chicken and sit it atop a half-full can of beer. You then barbecue the baby via indirect heat, and you get a very moist and tender chicken!<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.supereggplant.com\/archives\/beer can chicken.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"beer can chicken.JPG\" src=\"http:\/\/www.supereggplant.com\/archives\/beer can chicken-thumb.JPG\" width=\"200\" height=\"150\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nWe had to stick the foil-wrapped brick behind it because the chicken kept falling over (you&#8217;re supposed to use the can and legs in a tripod configuration). It was pretty tasty, and there was no mess! The only bad part was Deedle decided to rip the little grease catcher can from the barbecue and eat it.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.petersonwill.com\/blogger\">Gabrielle<\/a>, who is going to have a baby hopefully tomorrow, took the time to send a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marthastewart.com\/page.jhtml?type=content&#038;id=tvs6682\">link<\/a> to an apron pattern. It&#8217;s a Martha Stewart pattern but seems to be inspired by Japanese aprons (because how many original ideas can one person have?).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The other day I made beer can chicken.
