I made the <a href=\"http:\/\/weewonderfuls.typepad.com\/wee_wonderfuls\/store\/pointykitty.html\">pointy kitty<\/a>, a free pattern from the softie queen herself&#8211;<a href=\"http:\/\/weewonderfuls.typepad.com\/wee_wonderfuls\/\">Wee Wonderfuls<\/a>.<br \/>\n<center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.supereggplant.com\/archives\/backtack leg.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"backtack leg.JPG\" src=\"http:\/\/www.supereggplant.com\/archives\/backtack leg-thumb.JPG\" width=\"240\" height=\"180\" border=\"3\" \/><\/a><\/center><br \/>\nWell, I had never made a softie before, and I&#8217;m afraid it shows. The poor kitty* is bowlegged and lumpy and suffers from so many birth defects that I fear for its survival. I do hope my backtack buddy <a href=\"http:\/\/www.heartsandneedles.com\/\">Sarah<\/a> doesn&#8217;t run screaming when she opens the package. Despite its flaws, the kitty is still kinda cute!<br \/>\n*As I worked on the kitty, Peter kept asking, &#8220;What IS that thing?&#8221; You see, you make the head and the body separately. The tail is long and sticks up in the air.
