It’s hard to believe 2006 is over, but, well, maybe it’s not so hard to believe, since I just realized the other day that I have been thinking it’s 2007 for several months now. I’m hoping that is a good omen.
\nAfter the high-waisted, seam-bustin’ denim skirt fiasco from the other day, I felt the need to whip up another skirt right away. I had some lovely vintage wool-like fabric that my friend Mrs. McGlunk gave me, so I sewed a simple skirt from Machiko Kayaki’s Skirt a la Carte book.

\"vintage<\/a><\/center>Man but my legs are huge. Anyway, the fabric has a lining attached to it already, which is great, but unfortunately it sticks to tights, so I think I finally need to get a slip. You can’t really see the pockets on the front, but there are a couple. Really.
\nAnd one piece of advice to any of you with colds. Don’t take non-drowsy nasal decongestants and Excedrin Sinus Headache and also drink a 12 oz Vietnamese coffee on the same day if you want to sleep. I was up from 12:30am to about 5am.
