new tools

hamanaka crochet hooks.JPG
My mother got back from another trip to Japan, and she brought back these Hamanaka Raku Raku crochet hooks that I requested. The timing was rather ideal, since Schmee, my crochet tutor, happened to be in town visiting. Unfortunately, our lessons began toward the end of her trip, so now of course I cannot remember how to do the granny hexagons.

Man those look cool! Now if only I could actually crochet.

  4. Those look amazing:) I just started crocheting…how do these compare to plain metal hooks? I have quite a collection of knitting needles…more than I care to fess up to really! But I’d like to branch out and get some nice crochet hooks if they’ll improve speed and enjoyment. Got any suggestions?
