super eggplant meets action hero

What a fun day! I got to meet knit blogger Melissa, who is very nice and super creative. What was funny is we discovered we knew a lot of the same people from the high school days. Small world! We met at the Knit*Knot Studio, which is small but cute. I think the proprietess is Russian or something, because she was speaking in a Slavic language. Here’s what I bought (please note that while I was VERY tempted by the green combo, I decided to break out of my rut and get blue!):

Melissa got a bunch of very cool yarn there. We also checked out Lint and had yummy cookies and hot beverages at the Daily Cafe!
Here’s where I’ll be Tuesday evening for the Stitch & Bitch book reading! Eat your hearts out, everyone (and Em, this photo’s dedicated to you!):

I will be there on Tuesday, too. Maybe I’ll see you and Melissa there! I really want to check out Lint- do they have a good selection?

    Yay! Thanks for the photo!
Oh, and the other “scary” sweater is fantastic. Yipes! I wish I knew what happened to the monstrosities I started out with…mercifully, they seemed to have been banished from existence.

Can I say “Lucky Duck”? 🙂 I was just lobbying for a road trip to PDX the other day. Do you have specific plans for the yarn? I really like big thick & thin yarn knit in seed stitch–you can see it on the brim of this hat. It’s Crystal Palace Labrador, but I think it’s similar to what you’ve got there. Pretty!
