Oh, yeah!

Oh, yeah!, originally uploaded by super eggplant.

I love this whole “blog from flickr” deal! Anyway, Peeps are in season once again, so there’s not much to be sad about, is there? I was a bit sad over the weekend because my computer got infected with MALWARE, and I could not get rid of it. In all these years of surfing the wild wild web, I had never caught malicious malware before, so this was rather unsettling. I cannot say enough good things about the folks at bleeping computer. They provided step-by-step instructions on how to fix my computer!

    Time for Peep jousting!
Sorry about the malware infection; DH has been battling that lately, too. Frustrating! I’ve told him about your post, so he’ll be checking out bleepingcomputer, too.

    That is a joyful sight.
Malware, huh? Glad you solved the problem. My problem is someone copied a complete post from my blog; ever since then, I haven’t been quite so enthusiastic about blogging. Maybe I need a good dose of Peeps.

That is a glorious rainbow of peeps! In my area I can usually find them in pink and yellow, but the blue, green and purple are much rarer finds.

Peeps (and Hot Tamales, Mike and Ikes, etc) are made in my home town. You would go MENTAL over the factory tour. It’s a joy.

Do you know about the annual contest at the Washington Post, where they ask readers to make dioramas out of peeps? Here’s the link to the contest:

and here is the slide show of last year’s winners:

It’s hard to know if these people are geniuses or have way too much time on their hands.

  12. Maybe this year I will splurge on the giant peeps. Oh wait–those were stuffed animal peeps. nevermind. Oh golly. I could really use a peep right now.

Hey there! I came across your pattern for totebags a couple of years ago
browsing around the online craft community and made myself a couple that I have gotten compliments on ever since. A couple of my girlfriends and I love to get together on weeknights and do crafty things (we’re not very skilled, but we have fun)
so I was wondering if I could pick your brain…
I would love to know how to make a couple of things I’ve seen on your flickr.
and is there any way I could get the pattern/instructions you used for sewing your
little wallets, and the zippered pouches and the little mini cases (that looks like a book cover almost) that have handles? they are so so so cute and basic enough for us and I know my friends and I would have alot of fun whipping some up 🙂
    thanks so much!!
