Two tone knitting

This is what can happen when you run out of yarn:

The two sections are quite lovely separately, but together? Well, I think it could work with a bit of attitude, but Peter says no cigar. Unfortunately, I don’t have enough of either to make a full scarflet. Grrrr.

The story of my life!! And I hate having odd balls around, I want them to be used up!! I think I need to get off the scarf kick. Love your blog!

Absolutely–all you need is the ‘tude. Besides, it might look awesome when it’s all put together.

Why don’t you do a Rockstar version? Find a solid color you like with each of those and make two scarves…intersperse the fur rows into the solid…or there was a Fizz scarf (all these are from Knitty last year)where you had fuzzy edging on a solid scarf. I know you’ve got some extra yarn hanging around…

Or make it skinnier? That’s what I’m doing on the third try at one scarf: thin and striped in sets of 5 garter ridges. And now destined for a Mardi Gras auction rather than Xmas gift . . . Good luck! (I have Rockstar in the queue, too, as a friend has made a pair and they are delish)
