christmas eve baking

I did a lot of baking this evening for Christmas, and I was not particularly successful. It made me kind of cranky, but since I don’t want to be a complete crank on Christmas Eve, I thought I’d write a haiku. I was inspired by the glorious knitting haiku I read about on Jessica’s blog.
Christmas Eve I bake
Scones and cake oh meringue spill!
Dessert disaster
Have a holly jolly merry day!

Sorry your Christmas baking didn’t turn out as well as you had hoped. But glad I could inspire a little literary creativity.

I am so glad you are OK after the quake – I’m a few days late – but I know how scary those things are!!!
Your *off*days baking is probably a thousand times superior to us other mortals – those scones love yummy to me!

Merry Christmas, Mariko! I believe you should start up a cooking show and call it Quake and Bake. *teehee*
Glad to hear you survived. Maybe I should send you my Survivor buff? 🙂
