chocolate

My friend Tom and I like to exchange chocolates. Today I found a little package from France on my doorstep. This is what was inside:

Some fancy French chocolates!
And this is what was inside the fancy little wooden box:

Lest you think me a chocolate snob, though, look what I had just purchased before I came home to find the fancy chocolates on my doorstep:

I learned about these from Meg, who got an entire box of them for Christmas from her father!

Is that a little chocolate axe (I’ll save you looking that up “hache” in French)? Will you be cutting down little chocolate trees (arbre)? Those look yummy, and in a handy to reuse little wooden box…love it!

Oh YUM. What a great idea, to exchange chocolates. How do you maintain self-control around all of it?

  3. Meg says:

Ooooo. I like that idea – choccy buddies! :o)
When you reuse the pretty chocolate box, maybe whatever you put in it will be chocolate-scented! Hmmmm . . chocolate cocktails with chocolate-scented drink napkins? Hot chocolate & aromatic drink napkins. . cool.

How very nice to swap chocolates!
I have not seen the S’mores bar around here yet. I wonder if you’re living in a regional test market? Ever since Girl Scouts in the late 1970s I have loved me some s’mores…
