SUPER EGGPLANT!

Isn’t it cute? It is courtesy of Jessica‘s husband Wes. Talk about talent! I mean, compare that to my lame attempt:

My insane brother picked up his Gleevec today for his Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia and will start on his meds tonight. I keep telling him I hope he doesn’t puff up like Violet Beauregarde from Willy Wonka or feel all barfy, and what this is doing is probably conditioning him to experience these side effects! Ah, well, what are little sisters for, right?
By the way, I did not reupholster that chair. I bought the fabric from the Whole 9 Yards in Portland, OR, then hired a guy here to do it. I think it turned out really well. I did take an upholstery class once in Spokane, WA, and we still have the chair I did. Peter doesn’t really like it, though, so we have another piece of fabric draped over it!

Love your Super Eggplant. Makes me feel like fighting SLO doctors! Coming home this weekend…. I’ll hit you up if I have a minute, k? Might be quite a quick trip, but I’d love to grab a coffee on the way out…

Love the mascot! Very super. very eggplant.
The chair & bag are both very cool. I have a chair in need of a makeover but I don’t think I’ll go that bold on the fabric. I need to find someone to do the work. know of anyone in SF?
I went to Berekely yesterday & drove by Cheeseboard, unfortunately they were closed. 🙁 I’ll have to make another trip to get those cherry cornmeal scones.

Great site! Great stuff, too (the things you make)
Just wanted to say I like your stickman eggplant better than the more “polished” or “developed” version…

Go Super Eggplant! I especially like yours. It has that pre-historic cavegirl quality to it. 🙂
