Okay, OKAY, here is a knitting update. I’ve been working on bpt/blt lately. I finished the upper portion and am now on the body. It is going slowly for some reason (maybe because I am SLOW?), but it’s fun, and I think it will be a nice, comfy sweater. You can see the color of the yarn in this photo, but it doesn’t show the cables very well.
I got the newest Penzey’s Spice catalog today, and they have a new item: Hot Chocolate mix! I am pretty excited about that.

I love Penzey’s! They have absolutely the best cinnamon and vanilla I’ve ever used, and we are particularly fond of their Chicago, Southwest and Jerk blends. Have you been to one of their stores? Unfortunately, we don’t have one nearby, but there’s one that we pass by when traveling to my Mom’s in New England.

What yarn?
I’m just learning how to knit. I’m envious. I am teaching myself because I don’t know a single soul that can knit. Consequently, I don’t even know if I’m doing it right. I can’t read a pattern, I just keep doing what I THINK I’m supposed to be doing according to the book. But it’s frustrating because I have so many questions, I need someone to look at what I’m doing and get me on the right track.
I don’t think you’re knitting slowly, you’re just knitting in the round. Looks like you’re more than halfway there! Don’t mention Penzey’s around my sister…she can’t get enough…uh is that oregano?!?…
Slow and steady wins the race y’know….and as you can list *former chicknits cover girl STAR* on your resume, not to worry….tis beautiful!
