screaming to be seamed

I finished the sleeves of the Split Personality sweater, and now I just have to seam the puppy up. Unfortunately, I am having a tough time getting motivated to seam it. The lighting has to be just so, you know, so maybe it will have to wait until the weekend.

(Yes, that’s our smoke alarm in the corner. It kept going off every time I cooked, so we stashed it away in the front room, a.k.a. MPR: multipurpose room)
Now that I’ve dispensed with the obligatory knitting talk, here are some gratuitous pastry photos! Bwaha haha!

I went to the local French bakery for treats today. On the left is tiramisu. It must be a French version, though, because it wasn’t all whipped and fluffy like usual. On the right is a chocolate ganache mouse. I also tried a lemon tart and a pear tart (I was with other people, okay? It’s not like I ate four pastries all by myself, though you know I could). Really, though, there are few things more pleasant than being surrounded by beautiful pastries.

I love the way the split personality sweater has one shy sleeve and one bold one, right out there in the spotlight. Those pastries look delish, but tiramisu that’s not fluffy? What’s up with THAT?

Oh my. those pastries look…scrumptious. *Drool*
Split personality looks excellent. Seam it up, lady!
I had the same problem with our smoke alarm..Jacob’s dad is a fireman, so before they came up to see our house (our old one) we threw some smoke alarms up in all the rooms. Then, when we cooked for them, the alarms kept going off in the kitchen, and his dad was like, um, does this always happen? Oops. We felt silly.

Yeah! Sleeves are done! That’s always such a relief. Those pastries look great too, all these drool inspiring blog pix may just get Super E on some porn ring…:)

Yummy pastries! Do you see a relationship between your cooking and the smoke alarm going off? Hee! We had a neighbour once who was really NOT a good cook and always burned things, hence the smoke alarm going off. “It ain’t ready ’til the smoke alarm goes off.”

Mmmmmm… pastry… Why is it that whenever I visit your site I suddenly get ravenously hungry? I think I’ll go get a bowl of Special K… pastries are off the plan for the moment.

Just a quick hint. You should never have a smoke detector in the kitchen unless it is one specially designed for the kitchen.

I was catching up on your posts and was shocked when I saw you write about a German food van. OMG are you the luckiest or what? I soooo miss German food, and their chocolate is do die for. I would definitely settle for the Hershey’s Nuggets with the toffee Mmmmmmmmm.

Mmmm, tiramisu! I even like saying the word, “tirameeeeeesu.” Yum. Split Personality sweater looks fab, too.

Split Personality looks fabulous. Does this mean you’ll be starting Grace soon?
