grin and bear it

Weekends have become my sewing time, and today I made this skirt:
toothy.JPG
It’s New Look #6345. I used the same pattern for the school time skirt, but in a different view. It’s a great little pattern. I ordered the fabric from equilter. I am not particularly fixated on teeth, but I just adore this fabric. [Please note that while my legs are indeed rather short (Peter likes to say that I am 5’1″, but I have the legs of someone who is 4’11”), they look even SHORTER in this photo because the photographer is a good foot taller than I am.]

Don’t you LOVE eQuilter?? Each Sunday morning I sit down with my coffee and peruse their 300-500 new postings, adding and deleting items on my wish list. Definitely one of my guilty pleasures!! (Cute skirt!!)

Oh, that is SO adorable…you ought to wear it when you go to the dentist! Thanks for the reminder about the schematics….but I still would like to have some kind of reference chart for decifering symbols and basic words 😉

i have the same problem – i’m 5’5″-5’6″ with the legs of a 5’2″-5’0″ person so i LOOK shorter than i really am, even when standing next to people i’m the same height as!
love the skirt. toooooooo fun. i finally bought some muslin to test out a couple skirt patterns i bought, not sure what size i really am. but who knows when i’ll finally get to it!

I love that view of the skirt pattern. Very cute!

You’re developing quite a selection of whimsical skirts! Very cute 🙂 I have the opposite problem; I’m 5’6″ with a short torso — if my torso was normal length, I’d be about 5’7″ or 8″ (sigh).

Is the reason you never show your face because you’re really a man in drag?

Cute skirt! I have the same problem with my boy (who is 13″ taller than me). In all the pictures he’s taken of me I’ve got a giant head and tiny feet. *sigh*

I love the toothy skirt! What a great little pattern — I’d be whipping up a ton of skirts too. (Make Peter sit on the floor next time.)

Very cute skirt. Definately wear it to the dentist’s office.

I just got some of that fabric to make jammie pants for my daughter! I work in the dental industry and thought they would be hilarious. I think I’ll do the sushi fabric next.
