candygram

Okay, so I had to join the Candyalong when I saw there was a candy swap involved. I had been waiting eagerly for my candy to arrive, and yesterday I got my candy from Kim:

Such an amazing variety! And so much! I put all of it in a bowl, and every time I walked past the bowl, I had to stop and fondle the candy. It’s just so beautiful.
There was one item in the package that I had never seen before:

It reminds me of Binaca Blast, which I used to think was really cool. Remember that stuff? Anyway, this is a sour spray! I tried to make Peter try it, but he refused. He loudly told me to get away from him with my candy! Can you believe it? Oh, and he is convinced that he is allergic to Sour Skittles. At least he likes chocolate; otherwise, I think we would need to go into marriage counseling.

I have a friend who is allergic to Skittles. Also orange juice and chewable vitamin c tablets. They make her face get really hot and tight. Maybe he has the same thing?

“my husband doesn’t like candy! can you help us?” 🙂 heee heee…….. (OK originally i had “my husband doesn’t like my candy” until i realized perhaps the therapist might think you had sex issues!)

    I think he’s faking. 😛

i’m allergic to skittles! and various other candy too–but it doesn’t keep me from the occasional taste. my bet is only the people who actually LIKE candy, by some twist of fate, end up allergic to it–but you never know. maybe i’ll join the candy along anyways!

I had my first sour skittle yesterday! After hearing “they are SO good”.Yuck. I am not a fruit candy person, give me chocolate or caramel candy any day. What do they put in a sour skittle that would give someone an allergic reaction? Scary.

  7. Mega Warheads…..
When we lived in Texas, us kids and the neighbors would have mega wars- who could eat the most of those things. I remember one day, me and my older brother ate so many, that when we went home for dinner we couldn’t even TASTE it. It was so awful!
I haven’t been a fan of sour candy since then! 😮 Although sour star bursts *are* quite good.

I’M ALLERGIC TOO! Most sour candy, but also varrious fruit candy (too many Starbust, too many reg. Skittles, etc.–my face gets hot and sweaty, and I feel funny. Happened almost instantly when I tried a sour Skittle. I think it must be the citric acid or something that makes fruit candy sour. (Although it doesn’t happen when I eat citrus fruit…. hummm)

  9. Heather says:

OOH I looove Candy and I too am in a relationship with an anti-candy person. He’ll eat the occasional jelly bean, but has no taste for delish things like Nerds Rope and red laces! yum!!!!

  10. Silvia says:

Hmmm…I’m with P-man on this one. That sounds yucky! “Hello dear, may I spray this sour pink candy thing in your mouth?” Looks like the rest of the haul is quite delish though…
