Brainy Lady or Santa?

My birthday was last week, and I didn’t really make a big deal out of it because, well, I am a modest sort of gal (bwahahaha). So I was very surprised (and inifinitely delighted) when I received a lovely birthday package in the mail from the one and only Brainy Lady. This was after she sent me an amazing stationery haul, too! So check this out:

That pattern book is called “Pretty Skirts,” and pretty they are! Take a look:

Brainy Lady, you couldn’t have known how appropriate and timely this pattern book would be! Yup, I got a fancy new power tool for my birthday from Peter and my family and Mrs. H. I’ll share the details with you when I get it out of the box (first we have to do some furniture rearranging).

those are indeed some pretty skirts! I love the white one with the black stripes; I’ve been thinking of trying to make myself one like that (once I’ve successfully executed a plain skirt of course).

I love the black skirt with the curly white trim that makes hearts. Kinda girly, but oh so cute! You’ll have to keep us posted on what ones you make etc.

Silly question- does the book contain the actual patterns, or is it like a U.S. pattern book that tells you what patterns to buy? Those are indeed “Pretty Skirts”, and I’m very very jealous.
