move on

Somebody please put me out of my misery.

We had a bunch of crap in the attic, as you can see. I got the front bedroom and the hall closet packed today. I still have to finish the kitchen, pack the master bedroom, the bathroom, and my office. I can see the twinkle at the end of the tunnel, and that is what is keeping me going. It’s probably a good thing I am doing this by myself, though, because I am getting a bit whiny. My back hurts from bending. See? Whiny. At least I have plenty of ice cream for fuel (the pink cookies are gone, but hey, I did give a few to a neighbor). A week from now I will be in our new house!

I’ll be in Portland next weekend. Any chance of you going to Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival? If not maybe I’ll just wander into a restaurant where you’re eating dinner again. It’s a small town, you know.

Yes, this is definately the point where you seriously consider just leaving behind the bulk of your possessions and moving along with just a few suitcases. Good luck with the rest of the packing and with the move.

You’re photo is reminding me that after almost a year here, I still have several, unpacked *mystery boxes* in the garage. Ugh. I hate moving.
    Thinking of you this week.

I meant ‘your’…too late. Going to bed.

Poor you – moving is awful. Good luck with it all… at least there’s only 1 week to go, and unpacking in your new place is always much, much more fun than packing up at the old one.

I feel your pain Mariko. My place looks like that, or maybe worse. Good luck with everything, and I hope you don’t run out of boxes.

    Only 1 week left.
    You can do it!

  8. Terry says:

Wow, I would have had all! that ice cream by now. Keep at it, it is a drag to move, a drag to unpack, but I think the end result if wonderful. Take care of yourself – you know you have to keep blogging for all your fans!

  9. Marie says:

Yuck! I hate the whole, moving process. Best to just grit your teeth and keep going, you’ll be in your new home soon!

Good luck with the whole move thing. Never any fun, but you are making progress and it will soon be over. Just finish up the kitchen and you will feel like everything else is almost done. I know it took me forever to pack up the kitchen!
