random stuff continues

Sorry I haven’t blogged for several days. We had a friend come for the weekend, so we were out chasing around, going to REI, Powell’s Books, eating lots of good food (but sadly still no sugar, dairy, or wheat), not crafting, you get the picture.
Speaking of pictures, we got our first piece of basenji art the other day:

basenji drawing.JPG
I got it on ebay. It’s a drawing by Lucy Dawson, a British artist known for her sketches of dogs. I think it’s just a copy, but that’s okay. The basenji’s name is Gremlin, which is scarily appropriate for this breed.
And one more photo for you:
marina tunnel.JPG
A marina is on the other side of the tunnel! Peter is in the process of getting a new (well, it’s old, but it will be new to him) sailboat, and he is scoping out all the sailing opportunities here in the Pacific Northwest.

Powell’s Books is like a porn shop for book lovers and avid readers! Nothing compares.

I feel your pain on the “eat nothing fun” diet. I was on it last year to determine food allergies. The good news, I am now off the diet and I don’t get hives anymore. The bad news, I can’t eat corn (or any fun candy – thank goodness for Ferrero Rocher!) any more.
Just think, soon you’ll be back eating fun stuff. I can’t wait to see your next crafty project!

Powell……I ADORE Powells……was there for christmas and spent more on me than on gifts!! I have never done that before, But I hadn’t been there in so long (I live in Klamath Falls, as far south as you can get and still be in Oregon) and my Hubby wasn’t there LOL
    I would live there if I could……lol
