it’s not supposed to snow here in march

It was quite a shock when I got up this morning, pulled up the shade, and saw SNOW. It’s not really supposed to snow here at this time of year, but it did!

The dogs didn’t want to go out. Speaking of the dogs, they are doing much better, but they still don’t get along as smoothly as I’d like. I guess it will just take some time.

Great photo of the dogs. They LOOK very sweet and innocent.

It’s going to take quite a while for them to get to know each other. When we brought our second dog home it was touch and go for a few months too. Now you’d think they were identical twins! There still is the occasional spat but it’s worked out so well. Good Luck!

Snow! I’m so jealous, especially after biking to school in the rain today. Looks like fun!

Do you know the other 2-basenji family on the internet? They are wonderful, and live at http://www.flickr.com/photos/waldgeister/

We are supposed to get snow this weekend! It feels cold enough for it too. The dogs are so adorable! I hope they figure it out soon. Probably while you’re travelling!

I know, isn’t this weather weird?!?!

Give it time. Our dogs took a while to get along, and now, if we take one for a ride or walk without the other, the other will whine and whine til they return. Our dogs have totally opposite personalities, but they love each other.

The dogs are so adorable. They are adjusting, and I think they will continue to do so for some time. Enjoy the snow.

Aw! Look at those wrinkly foreheads!
They’ll settle in soon enough. It hasn’t been that long. Pack order is a complicated thing.

Wow, I didn’t think it ever snowed in your area! Central CA is apparently more wintery than DC now — it’s springy and warm here today.

So glad D & B are getting along better! Wish my basenjis did too. Didn’t you make Deedle a jacket once? Perhaps Berkeley needs one too? One of my basenjis LOVES snow, but he’s a bit odd, to say the least.

I heard that there was a real blanket of snow! My oldest son is excited beyond belief to be moving to a place “where it *snows*!” 🙂

  14. raquel says:

Yup. The same thought crossed my mind yesterday too. I was taking pix of the light dusting of snow on the lawn when it occurred to me that I’ve been away from the Midwest too long when the dusting of snow is a big event worth space on the camera flash card. 🙂

  15. yiching says:

It snowed out of nowhere yesterday here in Salt Lake City as well and it was crazy! My dogs love the snow though. 🙂

Great pictures! And thanks for the cupcake shoutout Mariko. I will totally take you up on that! 🙂 a

  17. Silvia says:

OMG! That is the cutest picture of the dogs! It’s all heads and little white feet. I don’t blame them, I’d balk at going out in the snow too.

  18. Stella says:

awww… Berkeley looks SO worried! Are they looking at the snow? Give them a hug from me and stay warm!

  19. carolyn says:
