deconstruction

There’s been little time for crafting as of late. We rented a 10-yard drop box, and we only have it for about 4 days, so we feel a bit rushed to fill it up. Peter is working on 2 projects simultaneously–ripping out and installing a new bathroom sink and vanity and tearing down a kitchen wall. Here’s a shot of the kitchen partially demolished with the wall still there and a shot with the wall gone:

Not having that wall really opens up the kitchen space (duh). Peter’s going to put in some insulation and drywall, but the big kitchen remodel won’t happen until next summer.
I’m working on another green skirt, but I doubt I’ll have it finished soon. I’ve been suffering from some sort of super fatigue for the past week, and I have very little energy. Action Hero Melissa suggested I try Tab Energy or Coca-Cola Blak. Oh, it’s also free Slurpee day!

…forgot to add that i hope you’re feeling yourself soon – maybe the heat has zapped some of your energy? did you check for anemia? a week is kinda long to be feeling ‘super’ fatigue, especially since the run…..

You two certainly are not procrastinators! When you’re done with your house, I have a couple of projects waiting for you at my house…

  4. I can’t wait to see it! This is going to be gorgeous. What great light you have coming in.

There’s something cathartic about tearing down and rebuilding.
Don’t forget to have your thyroid checked (simple blood test at the doctor’s). I have low thyroid and it was making me exhausted every day, even with a good night’s sleep. One pill a day does the trick now. Hope you feel better soon!

I second the idea to go back to the doctor. I have rheumatoid arthritis, and it took quite a bit of prodding to get diagnosed. I’d had a new baby and they kept saying I was tired because of that, and I kept saying, yes, but I think it’s something else too. I kind of wish I hadn’t been right, but I do feel much better on medication.

If you’re feeling that wiped, I also think you should go to the doctor and ask them to check your thyroid. Hypothyroidism seems to be increasingly common among my acquaintances.
