sweet things

I don’t know if you noticed, but I haven’t blogged about candy in quite some time. Let’s fix that. I got some great Japanese candies from Kat last week.

The package in the upper left contains gummies in shave ice flavors. The texture is amazing! The Kit Kat is azuki bean flavor, I think. Quite tasty!
And today I found a few limited edition and new sweet treats that I could not resist:
candy reeses ltd edition.JPG
Reese’s peanut butter cups with marshmallow! It’s very sweet, as you can imagine. They also had Take 5 with marshmallow, but I exercised self-control and restraint and did not purchase it.
candy oreos ltd edition.JPG
Limited edition Oreo dunkers. I liked the shape, so I got them. I’m sending them as part of a cookie swap, so I hope the recipient likes Oreos!
candy mm dark.JPG
Dark chocolate M&Ms! I have to confess that I am really more of a milk chocolate girl, and I realize that makes me kind of low brow, but there you go. Anyway, these are pretty yummy and don’t taste drastically different from the regular M&Ms, but I am POSITIVE that they are loaded with the antioxidants found in dark chocolate, so yes, they are a health food, and you can place them in that category with confidence.

Oh, MY! Where did you find dark chocolate M&M’s? They had some out when the last Star Wars movie came out (M&M’s from the dark side! hee hee) But then they were gone. I’ll have to make a trip to the store. I LOVE them. But dark chocolate is my favorite. (Long story about that.)

  5. reese says:

omg… reese’s with fluff! it’s like a fluffernutter in candy form.

I love Oreos… big one small ones square ones long ones… mine all mine.
Unfortunately here in England are near impossible to find. Last time we went Stateside on holiday I bought a whole stash and hid them from the children.
Now, how mean is that? Not to mention a tad childish. Dunk one for me… sigh

oh man, hooray! So glad to see the Dk Chocolate M&Ms make a return 🙂 I thought they were limited to back when Star Wars episode III was released. I mourned the day when I could no longer find them – now I have to go hunting anew!

I’m with you in the lowbrow section. Bring me the milky chocolate! Dark chocolate’s a bit too bitter for me, but, you know what? I’ll eat it anyway. I’m easy that way.

i’ve been looking for those Reese’s Cups with marshmallow. They haven’t made it to my area yet … I hope they make it here! Sounds like a fluffer-nutter sandwich.

  13. I want to try that marshmallow Reese’s peanut butter cup very badly. I’m imagining it would taste like a smores, right? I’ve got to go find one tomorrow.

  14. susan says:

that’s what i told myself about the dark m&m’s too, but in the end i just didn’t like them that much… too sweet… i like milk chocolate better… and speaking of reese’s, i almost bought the caramel ones last night, have you tried them? i ended up with reese’s pieces, and ate half and felt sick and had a friend hide them for awhile…
your gingham shirt looks great! ruffly fronts are big now…
