Sorry for the lack of blogging. I was sick in bed all day yesterday with what I think is a sinus infection, and then this morning I ran the Portland Marathon. I don’t recommend running a marathon while ill, but sometimes you just have to do what you have to do. I actually did better than I had anticipated, so I guess antibiotics aren’t all bad! Hope everyone had a good weekend!

WOW! Go Mariko! The Twin Cities marathon was today too. I didn’t run it but went to cheer some friends on. It was perfect marathon weather. Hope you feel better soon!

If I’d known, I would have added your name to the signs! I was at several locations with my nieces while we cheered my sister and her friends on (PRs for everyone!). There’s something about the sea of people during the first 10 miles that’s inspiring. Makes me consider doing it again.
Thank goodness it was cooler. You must be dedicated to go out while sick!

Wow! The marathon while sick? I’m impressed. If I would have known, I would have stayed at the intersection of Salmon & Third waiting for you vs. immediately going off in search of DH after he finished. Way to go girl!

    Pumpking spice cake looks great!
Wanted to let you know that your tote bag directions are the best! I notice that you have a daisy duffel. Any plans for posting those directions? Honestly, I have taken books out of the library about making totes and they were making something easy, very complicated. Your directions are clear and they have pictures!
You need to write a book. Thanks.

Congrats on the marathon! I did a 60 mile ride on Sunday and I can’t stop coughing now! I think all that sweat brough out all the nasty little buggers!
