we are here!

Hey folks! Kelly and I are in Japan! Right now we are in a Capsule Hotel in Osaka. Yesterday we met Kat, who was kind enough to take us shopping to a bunch of craft shops. All the good stuff has put us in semi-catatonic states, I tell you! Okay, we skipped dinner and have to find breakfast now, so that’s it for now.

Kat sure gives a mean tour, doesn’t she? I couldn’t believe what is available, craft-wise, in her little area. I start to glaze over just remembering our visit. Great fun!
Hope you’re both taking notes. We want all the details (eventually.)

I received my Enjoy Club fabric right before my own business trip started…great service and great product, thank you! I enjoy your blog very much. So welcome to Japan, where I also happen to be at the same time as you. I hope to find some good craft shopping here in Tokyo when I find some free time! Thanks again, and will stay tuned! 🙂

Sounds like you have and will have a wonderful time. I’m a little jealous, but I’m sure you’ll find lots of cute stuff for superbuzzy to share with the not so fortunate ones.. 🙂 Have fun!

Capsule hotel! So Cool! Saving money to buy crafty goodness, I hope. And Snacks. Snacks are very important. So is Candy.
You must try the Choco-Cro (chocolate Croissants). There’s a branch in Harajuku opposite-ish the Harajuku JR station and the Temple in Tokyo (opposite direction from Daiso and the Snoopy Store). There’s another in Osaka or Kyoto somewhere. So good they make me want to weep.

Yay Japan! I don’t know if you’ve been there before, so sorry of this recommendation is redundant… but you’ve got to have an omurisu. It’s an omelette with rice inside it, and they’re absolutly delicious. After my boyfriend moved back to the States, we spent many Saturday mornings trying to make these things. (And we couldn’t! Eat them now!)

I had to look up Capsule Hotel and have to admire your lack of clausterphobia. I hope with the rest of the commentors that there were many photos of this phenomenon taken with the orange camera. This is cool looking.

Oh how fun… I can’t wait for pictures + purchases + to hear more about your adventures!

  13. Hey! What a great site! Knitting, fabric, and cookies! And clowns! And Japan! Some of my favorite things!
But I have to ask – what kind of a dog is that on your main sidebar? Is that … pray tell … a basenji … ? Another one of my favorite things…
