San Francisco was fun (man, the weather was incredible), and I have more photos of cakes to share with you, but it’s been one of those weeks already–yesterday was spent in the emergency room all day with Peter (he had a kidney stone!) and today some dll file went missing on my computer and caused computer havoc (my brother is here now installing a new hard drive). I don’t even want to think about what might happen tomorrow! In the meantime, here’s a photo of Megan with a couple of her birthday cakes:

Sounds like a fun weekend but not a fun week so far. Sorry to hear about the kidney stone.
That chocolate cake looks good – wonder if I could get one that big here. I looks so tasty.

Sorry to read about Peter’s plight. I hope he is on the mend and that you had your knitting with you.

    Hi Mariko,
I’m a long time admirer of your blog and was even lucky enough to score one of your cute totebags one Xmas. Anyway, I just tried to leave a comment on you bro blog but was unable to for some obsure computer reason. I had followed the link from your entry to get more info on the cakes, instead I read all about your bro med problems. Do you think he has a sinus infection (for which antibiotics are the answer). It’s no fun being a doctor!

Sorry to hear of Peter’s kidney stone; I hope he’s doing better. Good luck on the computer woe’s. Those cakes look delicious, and I look forward to a full report when you get a chance.
