crafty others

I guess I’m just going to have to blog about crafty things other people are doing, since I am not doing anything productive myself! I’m hoping this changes soon, but you know how it goes!
I got a super amazing package last week from Lara. I mean, it is so stinkin’ good you won’t believe it. She lives in this very cool modern house that she built herself (well, not ALL by herself, but probably pretty close), and she is an an incredible cook in addition to being a superlative crafter. So the package held a tin with a very cryptic message on the lid:

And inside? The most delicious cookies EVER. They were reminiscent of the legendary pink cookie but BETTER.

The icing on the eggplants got a little trashed, but who cares! The cookies were really tasty (they had a hint of citrus). I was so touched by the eggplant cookies, and of course the Peeps were perfect!
You may know about Lara because she posted a great tutorial on how to make MOOpockets. I remember reading the tutorial and thinking that working with such tiny pieces would probably be a disaster for me–I’d probably sew through my fingers. Well, I don’t have to try, cuz she sent me a MOOpocket!

Now I just need more MOO cards to fill it!

Guess what? I started my own little knitting blog! It’s the first one on the Sanrio domain, I think. I feel actually quite embarrassed by it at the moment because today’s post was stupid. Yesterday’s post was better. Tomorrow’s post will actually have something to do with cooking and crafts! Hurrah!

You know what? Scratch that. I entered in my blog address by accident! Please do not look at it, I beg of you goddess-ly people!

Eeeek. Those cookies ended up looking scary…sorry! The quality control agent at Casa Splatgirl musta been on vacation that day.
Anyway, I’m glad you enjoyed them…and I’m pretty sure I’m not worthy of those kinds of adjectives.
