button down

I often get a bee in my bonnet about something or other, and it can change on an hourly basis. The other day I got all crazy about vintage buttons and started digging around ebay in search of some. Well, all of you probably already know there are tons of vintage buttons on ebay, but I had never looked! I found this box of candy-hued buttons by Namm & Singer, and I don’t know why, but nobody else bid on them, so I won! I am the winner!

They came in a couple hours (okay, I am exaggerating, but really, it only took a couple days! Super fast delivery!). I love these buttons. They look like candy, and I want to gobble them up, but that wouldn’t be very good for my digestive system, would it. I know I am going to find a lot of use for these little gems.

Oh those buttons look wonderful! Congratulations on a fabulous find! (Incidentally, ebay is also good for zippers…I got an entire sack of zippers in all sizes for about $1 + shipping.)

Ooo they are just like candy. I don’t know- I think you could eat them with little problem. Our dog makes me think that one could eat just about anything and pass it successfully.

oooo! You’re right those do look delicious! I’m glad you made this post. I just recently lost 3 items on ebay. My ego took a hit. I began to doubt my ability to hit the refresh button up to 7 times in 10 seconds…then I saw you post and rushed over to look for buttons! I found some..bid..and purchased them! Now I feel better about ebay…less bitter about my loss…so thanks, this post was therapeutic!
