The in-laws were in town last week, so we chased around town and ate marionberry pie and such. Also, I thought I developed restless arm syndrome, but I think I pinpointed the cause–taking calcium before bed (which the TMJ doctor recommended, but that’s another story). It was creepy–I’d wake up in the middle of the night, and my arms would just feel weird. I would have to pin them under my body in order to get back to sleep. I stopped taking the calcium and haven’t had the problem since. Wouldn’t it be great if all problems were that easy to resolve?
But anyway, I have been craving red velvet cupcakes lately, so, despite feeling extremely unmotivated, I baked some today. Now I feel a sense of accomplishment and can return to doing nothing. It’s kind of nice not having a big agenda!
Those cupcakes look mighty tasty. And you did accomplish something, you baked!
Cute photo!
I have never tried red velvet cupcakes, nor do I have any idea what actually goes into one or what it’s meant to taste like – red velvet? Seeing yours has reminded me again I have to find a recipe and try some!
Mariko – Was your calcium supplemented with magnesium? most formulas have it in a 2:1 ratio, like 800 mg of calcium to 400 mg of magnesium or something like that. Reason I ask is because magnesium is often recommended for restless leg syndrome, so you might find that helpful.
That marionberry pie sounds ridiculously delicious! Wish we had some of that round these parts…
Wow, that arm thing sounds scary, glad you got it resolved.
And those cupcakes look yummy!
Oh my, those look mighty delicious!!
Love your blog. Wait, you can treat TMJ with calcium supps? I need to try it!
Red velvet is the bomb.
Mmmm, cupcakes. I don’t remember quite why I did it (I think it was the cupcake truffles), but a few months ago I made blue velvet cake with enough food coloring probably to dye my entire insides. The recipe called for 2 tablespoons of liquid food coloring. Probably way too much.
Now I want to make some again… though probably with less food coloring… I don’t need to see if I eat enough what color my toes will turn.
