I have been somewhat obsessed with Japanese fabric and pattern manufacturer & shop
Rick Rack for a few years now. Unfortunately, they do not ship to the United States (not as far as I can tell, that is). Fortunately, my mother goes to Japan rather regularly, so on her most recent trip she was able to secure a couple of patterns.
The tunic above is from this pattern:

There are very clear photo instructions, but I still managed to get confused. It didn’t help that they used a fabric that looked the same on the right and wrong sides, plus they got all contrasty and mix & matchy with the collar and collar stand, and it was just too much for my brain to process. I used a nani iro double gauze I got from
Matatabi a while back. I like the tunic, but I may shorten the sleeves so it’s less sister-wife-ish. Maybe that will do the trick.
Looks great! Thanks for finally including the jeggings in your photo.
Nice pose. bahahahaha. Love the tunic, though, you talented gal.
Cute!
sister wife-ish hahahahaha.
melissa’s leggings comment hahahahahaha.
oh you are making me happier than i was before i read this, eggers.
melissa said jeggings. ha! super cute tunic.
that is so cute!! don’t think it’s sister-wife-ish at all. part of sister-wifey-ness is the fabric and I think your fabric is fab.
I feel braindead. I don’t know what you mean by sister-wifish.
Sister-wife-ish! LOL! You’re not in danger.
The sleeves are perfect and the tunic is stinkin’ cute. Nani Iro double gauze, that’s just gracious living all the way. Beautiful.
Gushingly,
Kay
Tell me those leggings are Uniqlo. Right? I notice the sleeve length less, and the cool stripe-on-one-side effect. Well done.
This is really awesome. I love the collar. I can’t imagine reading a pattern in a language I don’t understand (I can barely read patterns in English as it is). Very cute!
Ooooh, jeggings. I like the tunic! I like looks like these for days I plan to overeat.
