from tame to tangy!

I was hoping to have a newly finished candy-colored bucket o’ chic to show today, but I’m afraid I’m feeling a bit like Pee Wee at the moment. I finished the top last night then decided it was too pointy, so I ripped it all out!
BUT, I did accomplish something.

I decided to jazz up the boring old grey jacket!

Peter wanted to know what the “swervy stuff” was called (that would be RICK RACK), and then he commented, “That’s insane, you know.” Yes, I know.

Why is it insane? I think it’s CUTE! Insane is not a word to be bandied about loosely like that, you know. 🙂

I’ve always wondered what rickrack was!

Did he say “insane” like it was a bad thing? Of course, we know it isn’t bad at all….;-)

Rickrack, insane? Are you sure he didn’t say “awesome”? Or maybe he said “I’M insane, because Rick Rack Rocks!” (I had a sparkly sticker of that winking kitty on my first car!)

Definitely tart and tangy. Arriba, arriba!
I love rick rack. My mother went through a sewing phase when I was about 7, and the school picture for that year shows me wearing a retro polka-dotty sewn dress with rick rack on it. Sniff. Brings back the memories.

What are you newlyweds? Has he not seen rickrack in your hot little hands before? Maybe he needs his own little rickrack adornment, no? Make him a hideous “holiday” vest garment, with jingly bits and bob and lots o’ rickrack. Okay no, how about fringe? Poor guy, take him to your world of notions and introduce him around. Notions are good…

I like your “Tart & Tangy”! Great way to spice up that jacket!
