scarf central

Hello, you’ve reached Scarf Central. Hope you enjoy your visit. I made yet another keyhole scarflet out of the eggplant-colored yarn that Action Hero Melissa sent. It is Gedifra Techno and GGH Gala, two extremely scrumptious yarns. Initially I was going to double strand, but then I decided that each yarn deserves to stand on its own. I’m keeping this scarflet!

And lookie what Hedi knit for me:

It is very light and fluffy yet super warm, and of course I love the color. She also gave me a subscription to ReadyMade, a very fun magazine.
Now I must go knit another scarflet …

Love the Super Eggplant scarf. Great color and texture. You’re making me want to knit scarves when I’m up to my neck (eek! no pun intended) in other projects.
By the way my husband thinks your eggplant should wear a cape since it’s a super eggplant. 🙂

Love the scarf pattern your friend Hedi knitted. Would love the pattern. Any possibility of begging the pattern from her? What type of yarn did she use? Like I need another scarf!

I love the eggplant scarf. But I have a question. Um. Does it really get cold enough in CA for all those scarves? Shouldn’t you come here (current outside temp 27 degrees F) to get the best use out of the scarf collection? 😉

Yummy furry eggplant! That’s beautiful, and Technohair is THE softest fur there is. I love that stuff! That’s a great variation on the fur boas that we were all knitting last year. Much more sophisticated. The green scarf is very pretty, I like the undulating rib you used. Is that from a Barbara Walker? Have you seen the Lily Chin technique where she makes reversible cables, I think Knitters did an article and I took her class at Stiches West. Takes more yarn, but it’s a very interesting idea.

That mag sounds cool! I’ve never seen it before. Must tell hubby…last minute Christmas gift perhaps?!
