trapped in the loony bin

It’s a little hard organizing my thoughts into any sort of coherent fashion when I’m faced with this:

I probably shouldn’t even show that photo, since it shows how crazy this household is. My insane brother watches TV on his weird old anniversary-edition Mac while he plays on the other computer. Right now he is laughing maniacally at some sitcom (I think/fear it’s that Whoopi show).
Talked to cancer-fighting Megan today. She is scheduled to have a mastectomy next week, on the 31st. She’s going to have the DIEP flap surgery, which entails taking fat from your stomach and sticking it into the boobular area. Basically, she gets a tummy tuck at the same time she gets her mastectomy! Her hair has started growing back, but it’s very patchy, so she has to keep shaving it. Her eyebrows and eyelashes are still absent, though, so we were jokingly calling her Powder. If you can’t laugh, what’s the point, right?

I think all older brothers are a bit looney…mine is no exception! I admire you for spending time (babysitting) with your bro and dad. I’d head to the Antarctic if my mom asked me to do the same! Sending mucho good thoughts your way!

I’m rushing good thoughts to Megan, but I have no doubt that your sense of humor must be helping her get through this.
    Nice totebags 101 button, btw.

That movie Powder is weird! You should call her Kojak. 🙂 Because that’s not weird.

I just had to comment on your brother’s work area. He never needs to find anything, does he. And, I thought he said on his blog that he was spiffy-ing up for your visit.
