of pouches and gummi worms

Today I was going to sew Deedle a raincoat, but thinking about designing a pattern for her oddly shaped little dog body made my head hurt, so I sewed a little zippered pouch instead:

Dude, check it out–it’s lined!
And your candy point for the day. Carrie sent me some goodies from Minnesota, including a seemingly innocuous bag of gummi worms (okay, gummi brite crawlers for you sticklers out there) by Fritzie Fresh.

These gummi worms are seriously addictive and superior to other gummi candies. I don’t really know what it is. They are not particularly sour, but they have this perfect little al dente bite to them, and just the right amount of crunchy sugar coating. I can’t stop eating them!

Worms — hmmm. OK, I’ll take your word for it that they’re tasty. Love your Elann colors.

my mouth seriously waters just reading about sour candy. can’t eat it but it’s fun to watch others, or read about it in this case.

Texture is so important in candy. I’m currently addicted to cinnamon Altoids ONLY because of the way they dissolve.

Ah, you have finally hit on my favorite candy. I buy two bags at the drug store (they’re 2 for $1 here- you’re getting ripped!) and take them to the movies with me and eat them until my stomach hurts.
    That fabric is hilarious.

I love that pouch! The colours and fabric are awsome. I love how you described the texture of candy as al dente… You gotta love the attention to detail. ^_^

I’m glad you like the gummi’s. I almost had to taste them before I sent them off, maybe another trip to the store is in my future!

Whenever I think of gummi worms, I can’t help but think of my great aunt Edna – she described how she’d eat ’em while reading a good book, one end of the worm dangling at the corner of her mouth. It was so funny! You find the coolest fabrics. Love that lining.

I agree the worm is a superior gummy product. I like to let one dangle from the side of my mouth when eating them. Such a pretty girl.
Your pouch is cute, you must have mastered the technopower of the new sewing maching! Target had doggy raincoats on sale for like $10 in red, just buy one and have a sitdown.
