In case you’re wondering, I am still knitting. I’m trying to finish up the wrappy top from the latest Rebecca. I thought I was undergoing torture last week when I knit the tie:
It just went on and on and on and on, and as you can see, it is longer than two Nerds Ropes! Unfortunately, it must be frogged. The pattern says to knit these ties then stretch one end to fit the front edge. Well, this will not stretch that much. I am now thinking I will pick up stitches along the front edge and decrease to create a normal-sized tie. We’ll see if the plan works.

Hey, is your title a reference to the Aberfeldy song? If not, I think it is a sign that you should check out their album “Young Forever” or at least the song by the same name as your post. Good luck with the new tie.
Wendy did that on her top and if I make it that is what I am thinking I will do on mine.
Sorry about the ripping though, that kid soft doesn’t like to be ripped…
