blabla

I have become rather fixated on blabla pillows and softies. There are so many clever crafters out there making cute little softies and things, but I am just not good at that sort of thing. I can’t seem to do the cute embroidery thing, either. So, I guess I will just have to covet and shop. Here are Violet and Peter (yes, it’s named Peter. Think I should get it?) from the blabla people:

Not much else exciting going on around here. Yesterday I got a migraine, and I had to drive home (30 minutes!!). I was very worried that I was going to throw up on myself. I was even trying to figure out how I could get the window down and lean out to throw up, but I thought I’d probably crash into something.
So this weekend I am heading to LA with a vanful of women I’ve never met to attend the Bernina Fashion Show, which is some sort of wearable art show (I know, I am very daring). Anyone out there going? Anyone?

I just looked on their website and they are bigger than I thought. Very cute! Will they go on your couch or elsewhere? Their booties are so cute too, too bad they don’t come in super eggplant size!

Bla bla rocks! So sorry to hear about your migraine – I get them sometimes too – totally miserable. Good luck this weekend with your caravan! Let us know how it goes…

Throwing up while driving doesn’t work. You either have to pull over or resign yourself to puking all over yourself. Take it from me. I once arrived at my daughter’s babysitter covered in puke. The children were mightily impressed. But I had been on a two lane windy road with no shoulders when the undeniable urge hit.

Wow, you rock! I found you via a link to your tote bag 101. Thanks!
Um, if your power window is broken and you are pregnant and driving down a busy street, it is possible to dump out your lunch tote and throw up in it. But how would I know that?

They are tres cute – i am sure with your talent, you could fashion something like that in knitted intarsia! and I must say that this sentence:
“heading to LA with a vanful of women I’ve never met”
makes you a much much braver person than I will ever be – that sounds like dante’s seventh level of hell for me. unless it’s a bunch of bloggers who you already know will be fun! have a great time, can’t wait to see pictures!

  14. MJ says:

Ooh, if we weren’t camping I’d go with you! If you make it out to Santa Monica definitely visit Wild Fiber (yarn), Kid Robot (on 3rd Street Promenade, no relation to Giant Robot), and Giant Robot, of course!

Oh my gosh, you get migraines too… I totally sympathize. I came real close to throwing up while trying to drive home with a migraine, in thick fog late at night. To this day, I still don’t know how I made it home. Keep an empty plastic bag folded up in your glove compartment, you never know when it’ll come in handy (I hope you won’t ever need to use it for this!)

This is off-topic but thought you might be interested as I noticed you are a huge Peep fan…
I live near the Just Born factory where all Peeps are born. If you want to take a virtual factory tour and see how they are made, check out http://www.justborn.com.
    Enjoy!
