bug killa

We have to have our house tented for termites, which means we will be out of town for the rest of the week while the pest killers gas our house and annihilate every living organism. I find this rather distressing, but I suppose it is preferable to our house crumbling around us. It was a lot more work prepping the house for the tenting than I had anticipated. It looks like we are moving!

We’re supposed to double-bag the food in these special plastic bags, but we ended up taking most of the food to our neighbor’s. Thank goodness for nice neighbors.
So, we’re off to Santa Barbara, the land of no pants (not as in pantless but as in the weather is so perfect you can wear shorts all the time), for the week. Our ridiculously overpriced hotel promises to have wifi, so I will try to blog. Okay, now I must go eat some ice cream (hey, not all of it would fit into the neighbor’s freezer).

Oh no! Those little buggers are everwhere. We did that last year. Aren’t those bags reassuring, huh? Thank goodness for neighbors! Have fun in SB.

In elementary school, our wooden gymn was sprayed for termites every year. Of course we still used the gymn after the process. Who knows what we were exposed to throughout the whole thing… termite corpses were everywhere uggghhh. I still have flashbacks when I watch the movie Dodgeball. 🙂

my deepest condolences. I feel the bug infested pain.
Here is a hope that every last one of those buggers dies sans gas mask 🙂

We were told we had to tent too. I have two large dogs and quite frankly that was not an option. ORKIN does not tent and they are half the price. And they guarantee it. Maybe to late, and for that I am sorry.

I feel for ya! That’s one thing that we Californians must endure…termites!

Ugh! I had to go through that twice while living in Newport Beach! It does seem to work, though. At least you’re going somewhere fun during the process. I just stayed at a Marriott near my office. : / Have fun!

Man! That sucks! We have to tent soon too, and I am so dreading it! Hopefully our neighbors will be as nice as yours!
