a whole lotta choxie

My friend Taya recently told me about a new line of chocolates at Target called Choxie. I googled it but could find no information! Argh! Well, today I went to Target and spotted a big display of Choxie chocolates. They had SO MANY sizes and shapes and flavors that it was a bit overwhelming. I decided that in the interest of science and research, I should sample a couple.

Good packaging, don’t you think? I got some chocolate-covered raisins and some milk chocolate truffles. You can also see a cute little post-it pad for breast cancer awareness month. I love all that stuff.
Oh, and thanks to everyone for information about Room&Board furniture. Wanda has offered to test out the couch for us!

well it’s not that great a research job if you didn’t taste any of them. helllooooooo can we get a review of the TASTE please. some of us care about things other than the external packaging!!! 🙂 mua ha ha ha ha.

They are so beautiful! I am glad you found them. I have been so frustrated by the Target stores not having the things that they advertise.

P.S. We saw a black and white Basenji, Stewart, at the park near PSU today. He was not fixed and he got a little too friendly with the girls but the owner said his sire was the Basenji that won best in show at Westminster. I can’t tell a good Basenji from a bad Basenji (breeding wise) but Stewart definitely wasn’t chunky like those last two we saw. He made Deedles look like the Queen of Calm.

Yeah! What are they like? But, agree, the packaging is v. attractive.

I haven’t seen those here, but the packaging is very cute. I hope that we get them soon. 🙂 You will have to let us all know if they taste as good as they look.

Thanks for leaving a comment about the children’s cooking. They got a spatula each in their Christmas stockings last year – mostly because I couldn’t resist the colours, especially the pink!

how is it that you googled choxie and couldn’t find anything? because if i google choxie, i find, gee, about a MILLION hits. do you work for target?

What’d I tell you about financing the Right?!?!?!!! I knew that you were a pinko commie :)No worries, I understand that you have a problem with your chocolate.

After reading the post, I went to Tar-chet and bought some of them good-looking Choxie. I bought a little tin of Dark Chocolate Mints and a little tin of Dark Chocolate Espresso beans.
The mints are not bad, it’s sweeter than I expected and the “dark chocolate” isn’t dark enough for me.
For the Dark Chocolate covered Espresso beans, being a coffee junkie, I wasn’t impressed AT ALL, the beans taste like burnt peanuts and the chocolate is once again more on the sweet side. On top of all that, you don’t really get a whole lot in a small tin like that, but for 2 bucks, you get what you pay for. I love the tin can!

Must have a review of the taste, please! I have been seeing these at Target, too, and am curious. As if I need another source of chocolate in my life! Want is a different matter, however.

this is so funny because i received some choxie truffles as a little present– one of my friends had observed me ooohing and aahing at the packaging one day. so today, as i ate one of the dark chocolate truffles, i decided to google “choxie” and it brought me here! it’s funny that you posted about it just a few days ago. anyway, i haven’t tried any of the other stuff, but the dark chocolate truffles are SO good. they’re not too sweet, and the flavors are really accurate, not that fake cream stuff you find in cheap chocolates. the black raspberry (the one i just ate) one is even comparable to one i’ve had at godiva. some other ones included in the (adorably cute) box were coconut, key lime, chai tea… pretty good for target, huh?

I just recently rec’d the chocolate flakey truffles for a birthday gift and let me tell you, they are to die for!! They melt in your mouth! I’ve heard they have a white chocolate version, but I’m afraid they might be a little too sweet for my preference. But, I highly recommend the regular chocolate ones. 🙂
p.s. Like the box says, these are not for the chocolate amateur. They are very rich!

CHOXIE is my style. Where is Choxie made?

Mmm… Choxie… I am a packaging whore myself (collecting packaging for the sake of packaging) so I’m going to Target this weekend to look.
    But how did they taste!
