I got some modular carpet pieces from InterfaceFLOR, and I love them!

It’s a great company. They are working toward 100% sustainability and seem to actually care about the environment, so hey, you can feel good about making a purchase from them! I initially ordered red, but then I decided to switch to the green. We’re keeping the red for another room.

I’ve been wanting to get some of those, so it’s great to hear that you love them. I wonder if they are available here.

Those are cool, I’d never seen them before.

They look great! I’m glad to hear that you like them. I got their catalog a while back and have been contemplating getting some for the house. We have an old house and some of the floors need to be re-finished which is too expensive for us right now, but this might be a good fix I’m thinking.
I see that you used them kind of like an area rug. That’s my plan too. Do they stay in place nicely?

I love the pink swirlies! Way to not go overboard on them — it’s hard to make that pattern subtle but you did.

I’ve been loving Flor for a long time but I’m scared to pick out my own. Your selections are fantastic. So you.

excellent. I’ve seen these before, but hadn’t gotten around to checking out the samples.
I just ordered a sampler pack. thanks for the motivation!

Oh, I love that. Is there some kind of sticky-ish fabric backing? I’d hate for someone to fall because of those. On the other hand, seeing Deedle slide on those could be pretty funny!

I shy away from public service announcements and I hate raining on parades and I apologize ahead of time that my first comment on your very cool and informative site is a carping carpe diem. However. The short cut pile FLOR tiles (like Solid Ground and Thick and Thin) are super-powered schmutz magnets–hard to keep and get clean and I have a really good vacuum. On the bright side, the looped pile varieties clean up just fine and look great.

Hello! I like that you are using the tiles as an area rug. Last year, my boyfriend and I bought a few $K worth of them, in lieu of floor refinishing. But our area rugs just never stuck down, and tiles were always hither thither. Rather than sticking them to the floor with stronger carpet tape, I used clear duct tape to stick them to each other on the back side. Works great!
