baking accessories

I finally made it to the Dec*rette Shop, a kooky and wonderful candy and cake decorating supply store here in Portland. They have just about everything you’d ever need, from sprinkles to pink cake boxes to cake pans in every size and shape. I snuck some photos to share with you:

Here is just one wall of cake decorations:

There are tons of little ceramic cake toppers. Check out all these clowns!

And last but certainly not least, it’s a cupcake-shaped cake pan! You fill the two halves so you can have a 3-D cake in the shape of a cupcake. Man but I would love to eat a cake like that.

wow! that’s a really neat shop – i don’t think we have anything like that here in hawaii. years ago i took a cake decorating course by wilton’s and really enjoyed it – but with a growing family of three children, i never really kept up – but my children still always ask for a homebaked birthday cake!

I love the Decorette Shop! When my husband and I got married, we bought a ton of random stuff at Decorette and gave them to his ex-girlfriend who made our cake. It was wacky but fab with crazy dancing teens, babies and ballerinas.

Mariko, have you seen this? They have lovely things. I think Queenbee is in Portland, but I bet you knew that.
