take 20

So I haven’t blogged about candy in a while. Candyswappers is still happening, and I’m in the midst of sending out all the swap partner info now. I got all confused by my database, so my brother took pity on me and wrote a little program to simplify things. It is still not simple in my brain, though.
Anyway, I wanted to tell you about this FREE CANDY I got:

take 5.JPG
A bunch (20, to be exact) of tiny Take 5 candy bars. I got these through BzzAgent, a company that recruits suckers agents like me to spread the buzz about various products. It’s all about product marketing, but you see, I love new products and free stuff, so it’s right up my alley! I’m not sure if the Take 5 promotion is ongoing, but if you want free candy to taste and share with your friends, take a look at BzzAgent. As for the Take 5 bar, can you believe I had never had once before these arrived? They are pretty tasty, but I think I could live without the pretzel in there.

    Nice blog.
I wanted to asked you something, i saw your recipes for muffins and cookies with green tea… how many pounds(or grams) is a “stick” of butter?

I was really surprised when I tried Take 5. Something about that bit of crunch and slight saltiness really sucked me in – but I like salty/sweet together quite a bit. Such a great haul!

  3. A stick of butter is 1/4 pound in the US, or about 113 grams.

    Thanks!
I’m from Chile and here there are sticks of butter of 125 grams and 250 grams… din’t make much sense. Thanks a lot.

I kind of like the pretzel in it. It makes it crunchy and salty. It makes it different from other candy bars on the market. Have fun with those. People seem to enjoy giving you free junk food. You are one lucky woman.

If you can try the ‘special edition’ of Take 5 that are floating around in grocery stores, they are much better and the pretzel seems to blend in a bit more. I’m an addict of (sucker for) of all those ‘special edition’ candy bars =)

I took nearly an identical photo, but never posted it to my blog. I did resist eating them myself and followed through of sharing with others 🙂

A friend of mine worked on the TV ads for this candy bar

It’s the pretzel I like best in Take 5s. Pretzels w/peanut butter is my current favorite combo. The other three components are just icing. 🙂
