I ordered a new camera a few days ago, and it arrived today. I looked at a variety of colored cameras, but in the end I knew I had to have another orange one. I went with the Casio Exilim S600, but here’s the thing–it’s more red than orange, and I’m not sure I am crazy about it:

Oh no! It’s not orange enough for you! Sad because it’s a good little camera (once you drop in a memory card though). Can you find a real orange one?
Well, the camera opinion depends…is the Sony also sparkly? The Casio doesn’t appear sparkly, which makes a difference as well ;-). Actually, I think the Casio looks kind of retro and quite cool on it’s own merits. Besides, wouldn’t red go with your new shoes?
hey i was browsing your site and your pouches are lovely! was trying out the zippered pouch but i’m having some problems attaching the ends of the zip onto my pouch..esp since i’m doing it with a lining. a total newbie at this..any guides or tips on how to go about attaching the zip to a pouch?? thanks so much!

i have an exilim camera and love it. i say embrace the new color! it’s the quality of the pictures and ease of use of the camera that truly count 😉 (but hey, orange is very nice too.)

but i will confirm that you can order from amazon.co.uk – the same as ordering from amazon US – and THAT camera is actually orange.
I’d say keep it for the pics and put the other one away where you can’t compare them. The new one might look more orangey without the super-orange one next to it. Maybe? It’s darn cute anyway – maybe make an outfit to set it off!
Would it help if you thought of the new camera not as red but as persimmon? Because in your picture the color looks just like a really dead-ripe persimmon (the tall ones, not the flat squashy ones). And say, if both cameras are in the photo…. Which camera took that shot?!?
i have no opinion. i didn’t even know casio was making things. who’s the giant dork about a recipe?? oh wait, that’s me.
How about making it an orange camera cozy and putting a cute sticker on the camera?

I would keep a casio over a sony any day. Sony cameras aren’t as good as they should be. Surprisingly…casio kicks sony’s ass in cameras. 🙂 you made the right decision!
