All hail the ancient Greek goddess of memory

You know, I have to avoid JetPens because that place is dangerous for me. I have drawerfuls of Japanese pens, but if I go to the JetPens site? Oh, there are more I must have! So, I have to limit my visits. This plan was working okay, but then that Pen Addict had to ruin it all for me by blogging about the new Mnemosyne “Today’s Act” notebooks.

You see, Peter is a list maker. He makes lists then crosses off the tasks (lately he has started making little boxes in which to put checkmarks). He puts things like “eat lunch” and “shower” to ensure he will have things to cross off and thus feel successful. So when I saw these Mnemosyne notebooks with the baby-butt-smooth Japanese paper and the perfect little squares for checkmarks and all, well, you know I could not resist.
So I’m sure there are some anal, I mean, organized people out there who might like such notebooks. The “Today’s Act” notebooks, which are not pictured here, can be found here (and you can get them in multipacks!). The “To-Do” notebook, which is featured in the photos (it’s longish like a reporter’s notebook, which I find very endearing), is here. Oh, and I guess a pen fell into my shopping cart, too. It’s the Sailor Ink Bar Disposable Fountain Pen in blue black. I know, disposable is bad, but I’ve been wanting one of these pens ever since, yes, that darn Pen Addict reviewed them. Besides, it makes me feel kind of reckless and wild to purchase a disposable fountain pen.

You always find the best stuff! Will have to think about picking some of these up for stocking stuffers… who am I kidding, for me! Thanks!

    That darn Pen Addict! 😉
That Ink Bar is pretty nice, isn’t it? And don’t think you aren’t an enabler yourself. I bought 4 more Uni Style Fit barrels after you brought me that one back from Japan.

So maybe you need to stay away from Pen Addict. I would be banished from the house if I resumed my pen addiction.

Oh, I am SO one of those anal people who loves making lists and loves this thing! Awesome find!

Is the sequined fabric related to the rat problem, hats or Halloween decorations?
I am a big fan of the check boxes (somehow more satisfying than the cross off!)

Paper and pens are the best. I have to admit that I mostly resist temptation by being one of those people who puts lots of things in the virtual shopping cart and then leaving the site. I do that with the yarn shops all the time, because I cannot afford quite as much yarn as my eyes want to have.

  9. Awesome find as normal Miss M. i just placed my order, as this nesting mama-to-be is making lists out the whazzoo these days!

I’m in the middle of a cross-country move and I put myself on a strict budget but then that darn Super Eggplant had to ruin it all by blogging about the new Mnemosyne “Today’s Act” notebooks. Oh, and I guess the pen she blogged about fell into my shopping cart too.
    I’m such a weak-willed follower :o)
