from pink to green

To continue with the furry and fuzzy theme, I made a green furry keyhole scarf, using the free pattern offered by Bonne Marie as inspiration (her patterns are always inspirational!). I ran out of the furry stuff, so I finished with some green Fizz. You can tell how it’s kind of two-toned.

I also whipped up this wristband with some leftovers from the bucket o’ chic:

Yes, it is completely goofy. It’s a little big, too. I think if you’re going to knit wristbands at all, stretchy yarn is the name of the game.
I forgot to give details on the candy-colored bucket o’ chic. I used Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride in RPM Pink and Crystal Palace FIZZ in color 7129. It’s the next best thing to wearing actual cotton candy on top of your head! I ordered the yarn from ThreadBear. I had to get a second ball of the FIZZ, and I still have most of it. I’m thinking about making a little scarf or maybe combining it with some black to make a cap. Any ideas out there?

I *love* black and pink together. Make a cap or a rockstar like scarf. Mariko, you sure have the right knitting attitude….all together now….”what the hell!”

I love the keyhole scarf, it looks nice and warm. I have some of the pink and orange fizz left over and since I decided not to make a 2nd mini bucket out of it I’m stuck for ideas.

How about a fizzy swirly around a black skullcap beanie? I like my sister’s idea for rockstar scarf too.
Love the green scarf on you, great color.

I like how you did that buttonhole scarf. That was a clever way to finish it! I saw a scarf at a shop yesterday that was done something like that, in different but coordinating tones. Very cool.
