stuffed

That Arawa mentioned these Oreo-stuffed chocolate chip cookies to me, and of course I could not concentrate on anything else until I made them. I am a fan of stuffed cookies (see these peanut butter cookies stuffed with mini Snickers here), and well, unstuffed cookies as well.

Instead of Oreos I used the Trader Joe’s Joe-Joe cookies. These cookies are pretty delicious, and I think the recipe is open to a lot of variation. You can stuff them with different types of cookies. Can you imagine stuffing them with chocolate-covered Oreos? Holy moly.

You can find the recipe for the cookies here.

I made these over the weekend with both the regular oreos and the golden oreos, but I want to make them with meringues or thin mints or maybe even chocolate chip cookie dough on the outside and peanut butter cookie dough on the inside.

    I would eat them all!

A friend just made double chocolate cookies stuffed with thin mints. She mentioned it was hard to get the batter to stay on the thin mints. They were worth the trouble, though.

What is that Panasonic kitchen gadget in the background?

I do not know what you are talking about. I would never encourage the creation of such addictive unhealthy snack treats. Never. Ever.

I need to try making those! I had something recently that this reminded me of. A cupcake with bits of cookie dough bake into it, like a delicious cookie-cupcake mutant.

Saw a similar recipe last week that has the cookies stuffed with brownies. Gotta love it.

That looks soooo good to me! And now that I’m allergic to wheat, it looks even better. You are a bad influence. 😉

My jaw dropped staring at this picture. How could I have not thought of these before?! Now if only I could keep my husband from eating the Oreos before I have a chance to make these…

  8. OMGomgomgomgomg… you are EVIL to post such a thing! That looks soooooooooo gooooooooood!! *drool*

We made these last night. Oh, oh……too good. It’s a good thing I could only eat one (they are so filling). Thanks for posting this.

I thought of you when I saw this recipe linked from Taste Spotting: http://veryculinary.com/2011/03/22/oreo-stuffed-chocolate-chip-cookies/ I think it’s the same recipe!

    Ooo… stuffed cookies. Excitement!

Just wrote a post about this (and you!) on my blog. I’ve been a quiet follower for years, and participated in the candyswap way back when.

Yay! Can’t wait to try this out.
