my father is losing his mind

Well, he’s pretty far gone already, but right now he’s completely freaked out because he thought my mother was going to be gone for another week, but she’s coming home in 2 days. Pump up the meds!
Today I met Larissa Brown for coffee! It was a lot of fun. Not only is she an amazing knitter, but she is also a REAL artist who has her installations in galleries. Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos.
Megan has her mastectomy Wednesday, so please think cancer-killing and quick-healing thoughts for her!
Oh, gotta go. 24 is on.

    It’s already Wednesday here, so let the worldwide Megan Support System begin!
    (If my mother was gone for two days, I think my dad would check himself into a nursing home.)

    I’m thinking about Megan today!!
    “Pump up the meds”…I have thought that on many occasions, lovingly, about my father as well.

    You’re making me think that it is time for me to visit my relatives in Portland. I was there once, in November. It was beautiful, but cold.

    my dad uses a thick black marker to cross off days while my mother is away. he has to circle her return date w/ multiple colors, much like a 1st grader. dad claims to relish his ‘freedom’ but he’s pretty lost w/o her. you are a good daughter even though you ‘run away’ during the day : ) Sounds like you’re having a great time!
