pouches head to portland

I have plenty of mini totes, but sometimes you need a little drawstring satchel for those little knitting projects, especially if you’re going to put the satchel within another bag (because who wants a handled mini tote within a handled maxi tote?). This satchel and I are headed to Portland today:

great tote. love the material and the drawstring. i like the thicker cord. the skinny ones just cut into your hands. that one is just perfect.

Could you please post a tutorial for this bag? It looks like I could make a smaller pillowcase, but not sure how to do the drawstring. Thanks.

Cute drawstring bag! I made a bunch of similar bags to use as suitcase shoe-protectors. Very handy for keeping your clothes protected from your shoes, and using a different fabric for each pair makes it easy to find matching shoes! I used a crocheted chain as the string, due to lack of cotton rope at my house, and my need for instant gratification.
